ABOUT LISA

Whether she is transforming or designing a Victorian Farmhouse, a Brick Warehouse or a Hudson City House, Lisa unites the old with the new to create a home inspired by her Scandinavian roots. She calls it ‘Swedish Farmhouse’.

Leaning towards clean lines, simple details and a soft palette of whites, greys, neutral colors and wood, she strives for an unpretentious and understated minimal look. Her mantra has always been ‘less is more’, while she considers the spirit and lifestyle of her clients.  She uses limited natural materials in her desire to bring nature inside and to be in step with todays wish for calm and uncluttered surroundings. She is dedicated to creating spaces that inspire a life of simplicity and beauty with timeless style.

When working on a project Lisa almost always finds a place for a piece from her well-traveled collection of Swedish, German or American objects that hold historic and meaningful relevance.

A self taught designer, she studied art at Skidmore College and the Folk Art Institute of New York. Her work has appeared in numerous local and national publications – Country Home, Cottage Style, and Flea Market Style to name a few. She currently resides between Saratoga Springs and Hudson, NY, and has been restoring and designing homes since 2000.
